Miss A27 by Giles Penny
'Miss A27' (2000) by Giles Penny is an aluminium cast figure of a flying woman, raised on a stepped square cast bronze base.
The base bears the title, artist initials and dated '00', height 72 cm.
This one is number 14 from the edition of only 14.
A larger version of this sculpture was placed on the Arundel Causeway roundabout in 2000 to celebrate the Millennium and was then moved to be exhibited at Broomhill Sculpture Park in Devon.
Large scale pieces by Giles Penny can be seen in many public spaces including: Golden Square (Relief Sculptures), Canary Wharf, London (Two Men on a Bench and Man with Arms Open) and Gunwharf Quays (Man with Ball)
There is also a lino cut of the same subject created in 2000.
