Julian Opie Baltic Rubber Stamp
These rubber stamps by Julian Opie in his signature line drawn figurative style were created by Kit Grover Ltd for the opening of the BALTIC in Newcastle in 2002 in a massive former flour mill on the south bank of the River Tyne.
The Inaugural Exhibition: The first show, titled B. OPEN, featured major works by international artists Chris Burden, Carsten Höller, Julian Opie, Jaume Plensa, and Jane & Louise Wilson.
Concept: Instead of housing a permanent collection, the center was launched as an "Art Factory" with eclectic, revolving artist-in-residence programs.
These rubber stamps are still in their original packaging and unused, come with an ink pad.
One shows 'Him Reclining' and the other 'Her Reclining'.
This is an open edition.
