I Always Remember a Face, Especially When I’ve Sat on It by Maurizio Cattelan
"I Always Remember A Face, Especially When I’ve Sat on It" is a limited edition, picture disc vinyl record compiled by art provocateur and prankster, Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari.
Maurizio Cattelan has created some of the most unforgettable images in contemporary art; this is an iconic limited edition picture disc, the art world superstar's first vinyl record - a suitably absurd and eccentric compilation reflecting his Toilet Paper magazine.
Released/published by The Vinyl Factory/TOILETPAPER to coincide with Maurizio Cattlean's exhibition at Fondation Beyeler in Basel entitled ‘kaputt’. The 2013 exhibition recontextualizes a former piece: The solitary leaping taxidermied horse of cattelan’s 2007 ‘untitled’ becomes an entire suspended herd.
In collaboration with Pierpaolo Ferrari, this limited-edition, vinyl-only picture disc (image on both sides) is a suitably absurd and eccentric compilation that stems from the duo’s TOILETPAPER magazine project.
The album features 14 tracks by a fittingly eclectic cast including Bernard Herrmann, The Cheers, Pierre Schaeffer, Judy Garland, Coldcut, Malcolm McLaren, Gene Vincent, Les Paul & Mary Ford, Hoosier Hot Shots, F.T. Marinetti & A. Guintini, Cornelius and Ozzie Nelson And His Orchestra.
"I Always Remember a Face, Especially When I’ve Sat on It" is limited to 1,000 copies, and is housed in the original PVC sleeve.
