During January and February we plan to show larger paintings before our 2015 exhibition programme starts with a solo exhibition in March.
We will only be open on Saturdays, or by appointment for the first two months of the year.
Contact us to find our more.
We will show pieces by Piers Ottey, Katharine Le Hardy, Nick Bodimeade and Matt Bodimeade.
There may also be an opportunity to buy original prints, ceramics & sculpture.
Large paintings can set the tone for a room, they need space and can effect a change in other colours around the space:
"Colour Porportion" in a work can change the way it is perceived by the viewer. Nick Bodimeade is a master of this technique (see right).
"Simultaneous Contrast" is the phenomenon which occurs when a colour appears to change when seen against a different neighbouring colours (other paintings, curtains, upholstery, floor covering etc).
So the choice of a large painting can change the way you see the whole room!
"Landing Zone I - Seville"
