JO LAMB

Jo Lamb trained in painting and textile design at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts and as an art teacher at Goldsmiths College, London.

For many years Jo Lamb worked in design, illustration and graphics, but now divides her time between painting and some teaching.

Painting fascinates Jo Lamb, becuase she sees it as a dialogue (sometimes a battle!) between history, observation and craft. She has consistently made and sold work over the years, which gives her much pleasure and pride.

In her work  viewers will see a love of colour and an irrepressible sense of humour which comes through in both the works and their titles.

Jo Lamb has exhibited widely in the UK, including the Whitechapel Art Gallery where her work was included in an exhibition for promising young art graduates (1980).

She now lives and paints in Eastbourne.
