ANJA NIEDRING
Anja Niedring (born 1969) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich in 1989. In 1996 she attained "Meistershulerin", a diploma, in Professor Jerry Zeniuk's painting class, whose style in abstract painting she emulates with her own muted colour pallette.
In 1997 Anja was awarded the postgraduate DAAD Scholarship to spend and paint for one year in London, that year her work was included in the Summer Show "Haus der Kunst" at the Rathaus Gallery in Munich.
From 2001 she was based in Hackney and took part in group exhibitions at the Proud Gallery, East London Printmakers, Open Art with ACME STudios, Cross Street Gallery and the Mall Galleries (where she was shortlisted for the Windsor and Newton top ten young artists prize).
Anja now lives and paints in Brighton, taking inspiration from the Sussex landscape and developing her own impressionistic style.
